You may have heard about the Army Iraq veteran, Aaron Schneider, who witnessed a beagle getting hit by a car in Missouri. He brought the dog over to the side of the road to keep him from getting into any more harm. Schneider stayed with the beagle for 3 hours to keep him company and keep him warm, just like a soldier staying behind with his fellow fallen soldier. Finally, animal control picked up the dog and it was reported that the beagle suffered from internal bleeding, broken ribs and a torn windpipe. If it wasn't for Aaron, this beagle would not have made it.
After the beagle underwent surgeries and blood transfusions, Schneider decided that he couldn't leave his new friend. He decided to take him home and ADOPT HIM! The beagle, now named Buster, went home to a loving father and friend.
